My modem doesn't work in XP, if your using XP and have a dialup connection would you mind telling me what modem your using. I have a Wisecom 56KFlex and can't get the updated drivers for it.

i use a U.S. Robotics 56k External V.90 faxmodem. It took a bit of fiddling with windows XP to get it to see my modem since it detected the wrong one.

im using a Haicom datafax,
ive noticed XP doesent support a lot of winmodems... the especially crap ones you get on AMR slots mainly, mates having to buy a new modem before i can instal him XP, i had no problems, i had to instal the drivers though.. using the windows2k drivers, its teh only device ive had to instal drivers for though
