jaclaz
No, the disk drive is "the same" and commands/procedure are too (provided that the actual issue is the same). There are three ways to do the "BSY" fix:remove completely the PCB and re-connect it "hot"insulate head contactsinsulate motor contactsIn theory any of those should work, in practice there are reports that in some cases one of the three works where one of the other two did not. BUT the: Error 1008 DETSEC 0000500E Process Defect List Error R/W Sense 00000002, R/W Error 841C0087, List Offset 00000000, File Error 00000001 is not at all a good sign. Is this still the same drive: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/142565-how-to-solve-error-1009-detsec-00006008-fix/?p=1032082 or have you a fancy for Maxtor 22 drives with this specific issue? If it is, it is not like starting a new thread will get you any added information/suggestion/help, you left that other one unfinalized, and you come back more than one year later with the same issue? jaclaz Edited December 18, 2014 by jaclaz
igirao
Hi Jaclaz! It's me again. Sorry to post a new thread. I thought that one was closed already. But I came back with more precisely info, No more seagates HDD. I was seaching out my stuffs and found that HDD and thought to give it one more chance. I did all the procedures you said and none worked out. Just one moment I went through the end but it end up with an unsuccess format. Then it started to show that error. What that could mean? Bad pcb, atenuator, head or corrupted file? Please give me a good sign, will you? Please see Vicoria's picture. It says 0MB and 0LBA and on PIO mode it says bsy. What commands can we use to check it deeper? What about we both do this opearation remotely? We can use teamviwer or Skype with a webcam . Tks. jaclaz
I have no idea on what can still be done in a DIY environment. That "Error 1008" has been *somehow* reported as being a head issue, but as always happen with this kind of matters, noone really knows what he is talking about and those that actually know stay silent or post deceiving info, just for making some fun of the non-pros. You can try if Sediv now supports that model , otherwise the only resource I can think of is that you can try asking here: http://malthus.mooo.com/index.php? the place is where the good guys (maybe not really pros, but friendly enough) use to gather. jaclaz Edited December 18, 2014 by jaclaz
