Aero Glass for Win8.x+ v1.4.1

* when Aero Glass is loaded broadcast WM_THEMECHANGED to all applications
* fixed crash on invalid reflection image
* hardcoded symbol patterns for DWMCORE build 10240.16461
* fixed glass occlusion on regions near the screen edge
* fallback into always-glass mode only when symbols have not been loaded
* Win10 only: added support for AccentColor and AccentColorInactive settings to set different color for caption header
- DWORD values 0xRRGGBB in SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\DWM

* KNOWN WIN10 LIMITATION:
- due to the way how Win10 composes windows frames, it is not possible to fully apply corner radius
- for the same reason you can see blurred separation of window caption

Blur taskbar is fairly simple.  Download SetCompositionAttribute.exe, place in /Windows/System32, and read here http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/174377-windows-10-how-to-make-taskbar-get-aero/?p=1107631

I updated to v1.4.1 and this still happening.

This is the default theme, I did nothing to it and have no graphical knowledge on how to fix it.

Honestly, if it's such a big deal to you to make multiple posts and threads about it, just use the Win10 atlas, seriously.

Consider this, Obviously the supplied theme is glitchy. BM seems to like the RP type theme... but its incomplete somehow.

If you've read any of the other threads you will find several alternatives & styles.

Maybe for you the best is to DELETE the win8RP.png in your aeroglass folder and try Win10 without a theme. Its rather nice.

Then if you decide you want differently coloured captions or border effects.. look in the theme altas threads and pick one.

Simple.

Then if BM's theme is glitchy it can be improved. I'm the kind of person who wants aero glass now. Installs it and notices a small problem with the theme atlas. I know I can change the theme to something custom made from this forum but I am not an advanced user and I have no interest in doing so. The majority of the users that go to the glass8.eu website use the theme that comes with the software.

Is it the only theme atlas you've tried?  Does mine do it?

Aero Glass for Win8.x+ v1.4.1

Seems to be working well here on both Win 8.1 and 10 (10240).  One caveat:  I haven't rebooted the 8.1 yet.

Yes its the theme atlas. I added the image you provided. I gave the image the name win8rp.png and added those lines to the .layout file. After a reboot I'm seeing this. As I have said I am not knowledgeable. I understand that most of these are designed for Windows 8. I'm using Windows 10.

You don't want to merge the layout files. You just want to use the file I provided as is. -Noel

Ok. Corrected that previous mistake. The theme works now.

Also this is the atlas file for the previous theme I was using with the menu glitch. I prefer to use the aero looking theme, it's more my taste. I hope it can be fixed.

The theme atlas image and layouts are complete. However, people should understand that it can provide different results for both Win8.x and Win10 just because DWM can position several elements differently. Win8.1 themes will never be 100% compatible with Win10 and vice-versa. It can happen even with normal UX themes.

And if it is so minor bug as 1px offset visible on maximized windows only then it makes totally no sense to spend the time on fixing it. Of course, if someone fixes the default atlas and ensures that it works consistenly on Win8.1 and Win10 then I will include it in some future release.

In Win 8.1 the "blur effect radius" and "glass reflection intensity" sliders affects both on windows titles and taskbar.

But in Win 10 changing them affects only on windows titles and those parameters for taskbar remains the same. It creates inconsistency between titles look and taskbar look..

Can you say something about this? Can it be corrected?
