Tripredacus
Are these files/dirs on the hard drive or removeable media? Also is this a volume where you have indexing enabled?
jaclaz
It is I believe a "kknown issue":http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/windows-7-deleting-large-files-is-extremely-slow/f2b32bf0-bab6-4935-9002-8127d9ca066aThe suggested workaround (set aside the one about rebooting in safe mode and running an antivirus provided by am MS "expert" ) is to:Right click, properties, uncheck both "File is ready for archiving" and "Allow this file to have contents indexed in addition to file", then delete. jaclaz
