You can now get it here:

It comes from some ex-Opera people (Jon S. von Tetzchner), it may be (or become) the new Opera.

http://gadgets.ndtv.com/apps/features/10-months-and-2-million-downloads-later-vivaldi-browser-hits-beta-760681

"All the major browsers today focus on having a simple browser out of the box, so they are all going for the same user group," says Tetzchner. "They compete more on distribution than feature set. Our focus is on the more advanced user that wants to be able to do more with their browser and also has opinions about how to interact with it."

Just resurrecting this thread as it appears to be the only Vivaldi-related thread.

Just wondering if you folks might suggest two things on Vivaldi v1.9:

Is there anyway to change the transport buttons on the address bar? (back-forward-refresh-home).
I'd love a theme extension or something that could do that.
 -AND-
Can the tab bar be placed under the address bar in ANY way?

:)

Just now, JodyT said:

Whooahooh - seems like it.  Except then I would hid the menu and Bookmarks Bar.  Holy Crap!  Jaclaz.  Thanks a lot.

Time to give it a second try.

:)

I am not sure to understand why that would hide the menu and bookmarks bar, this screenshot (taken from the given thread) seems to me fine :dubbio: :

I meant that I would hide the menu and bookmarks bar.  I'd prefer:

  • Blank Title Bar - with "V" menu button"
  • Transport buttons (back/forward/refresh/home) and address bar
  • Tab bar

In any case, this is a real start.

:)
