hi

dudes, what you think about my idea?

tiny wall with normal protection +whitelisted few apps for synch and tablet for sharing files via browser?

is that safe enough? firstly I wanted have VM with linux for that, but now I think ^ might be even better, but honestly, I don't know as if that idea will even protect me from thiefs ect.

any review of my idea?

thank you very much for help

edit;

I'm also going to disable windows installer and registry and also use non-root account

The actual safest is to not have a network connection, but if you want one, a whitelist only firewall approach is the best. That being whitelist in both directions, out and in, including "standard" ports that firewalls like to leave open like those for email and FTP.

Most firewalls do a fine job of stopping stuff from coming in, but fail to safeguard against the biggest threat... the user.
