Keyboard not detected at repair and install

So keyboard works when it shows f6 to install from floppy but when it goes to install / repair it does not work :/. And the keyboard works flawlessly on another machine

Is this a USB keyboard? that may cause problems.

Check the BIOS and see if USB legacy is an option. Turn it on if so.

Other than that, I don't know.

Unfortunately, you haven't given us much information about your hardware, but "computer is too new" may mean you're running up against this problem:

In which case--if your motherboard does not have a PS/2 connector--there is no way to make your USB ports work in Windows 2000 Professional.

Hello, have you solved the problem? If yes, how? I have a usb keyboard too.

Try disabling BIOS -> USB legacy once it is no longer needed.
Try connecting the keyboard with and without a USB hub.
Does a USB mouse work?

You could also just use WINNT.SIF to make your installation process fully automatic so that no user input will be required.

You could then use your mouse to install the USB drivers once the OS is running. That is what I use when testing Windows 2000 installation in a VM.

Alternatively you could just integrate the USB drivers into your Windows source before the installation.
