killerbee
hi,if u r extremely cautionous with ur RW u can rewrite it up to thousand times. But most of the time a scratch will most likely be far more realistic than the 1000th rewrite cyaKiller Bee
qualle
ehrm, :offtopic:i think
Alanoll
supoosedly up to 1000 or more. But like mention, a scratch will ruin the disc far before you reach the 1000. A scratch will probally be made by a dust particle in the burn when burning.
Aaron
Wrong forum bonedaddy? CD-RW lifetimes are a bit offtopic for Unattended Installations of Windows...

killerbee
hi,this one isn't offtopic in my opinion, because RW's r cheaper to use for tests on the real machine where ur UXP gets installed - u can't test everything in a VM.... cyaKiller Bee
Alanoll
but a VM is cheaper then buying a new computer to test on good thing i have alot of extra parts. Enough to build a 2ghz machine.

prathapml
I've used my current CD-RW for atleast 150 writes, I'd say.It now looks pretty old, but survives. My other discs have been similarly used as well - you can expect atleast 100 writes, if you maintain/store that disc with proper care.
SiMoNsAyS
my cdrw it's a survival one i've burned it for 100 times or so and hypothetically it can be burned for 10000 times!the problem it's that my LG CD Reader scratched it many times and now installations are slooow and sometimes i've got to restart them. f***** LG CDR
Alanoll
DVD+RW's are about the same if anyone asks. But they're easier to scratch Goodthing I have 200 DVD+R's and 50 RW's. I've gotten about...oh....140 burns on the RW so far.
