StaticInAttic
I have a pc that using a dial up isp, connects to the isp. When IE is clicked I get a DNS error. I can ping the ip address of the isp and get areply back. When I ping the dns ip no reply. I got all the ip addresses by using ipconfig /all, in a command prompt. Aaron
Has this happened for long? Your ISP's DNS servers are probably temporarily down.P.S. How did you get here if your DNS is down?

Jono
maybe he edited his host file using one of the net accelaration programs that adds commonly used sites to your host file that way the need for a dns server is eliminated that would also tie in with him being on 56k otherwise i dont see how he would get here :S
