i am getting ready to mod out an old laptop i have sitting around, i wanted to upgrade the system board in it, maybe up to @ least a 1ghz processor. however i have checked out pricewatch.com and some other computer parts sites and really haven't been able to find anything @ all for the motherboard. i have the harddrive, battery, & cdrom drive but the motherboard is holding up the project. once i get it i can get the ram. so my question, does anybody know where i can look to find laptop motherboard? does not really matter what type it is.

You might have a hard time finding a board that fits.. most laptop motherboards are custom.

For the cost of a lappy m/board you'll be better off buying a new lappy...
