I've noticed that whenever u integrate XP SP1a with a Windows XP distribution, the option to install .Net Framework has appeared in the 'perform additional task' section of windows setup. So what's up with this?

Exactly where is this "perform additional task" section? Which "Windows Setup" do you mean?

U know, When u start the setup.exe file in u'r windows xp root, U get the blue screen with a number of options, 4 I believe.

- Install Windows xp
- Install optional windows components
- Perform additional tasks
- check system compatibility

The SP1 cds have a DOTNETFX folder on them. When you click on the option from autorun, it would install from that folder. A slip stream won't add this folder, you would have to do it manually.

So isn't there a way to delete that option or something?

Perhaps change the setup.exe with one from the RTM version? I've never seen tat option from a slipstreamed CD ...
