did you rename unattend.txt to winnt.sif? YOu're supposed to.

If your CD is bootable, then you just put it in I386, and it should automatically read the file. Provided you created teh file correclty.

no .. i did not rename the "" unattend.txt """ file.
i just create a new file called """ winnt.sif """
and replace it.

i did not see the difference but if this is wrong, than i am making a mistake
so i will do what you said..

tnx. :)

so... you didn't use the 'Setup Manager' to create your unattend file?

go to "Tools -> Folder Options -> View"
untick the box "Hide extensions for known file types"
make sure your file isn't called winnt.sif.txt :)

i think everything is ok.
but my cd is not bootable..
well, actually it is bootable but
the boot is not working..
therefore, i install windows xp
by using another bootlable system disk (98)
and in the dos mode, i type:
winnt /U:e:\i386\winnt.sif /s:e:\i386

or else, this anwser file not executing at all.

i made my iso , by using ISO Creator for WinXP Pro.cmd
explained in this site..
but, when i tried to install from cd, after booting, it says:
insert windows xp floppy disk to a:
do i still need some floppy disks??? :)
