trying to get a silent install of java runtime 1.4.2 to work, but it simply doesn't.
the switch /s /v/qn works fine. i dont see it at all, the hourglass works. unfortunately, when i get into a web page to load the java applet for tightvnc, it doesn't load(red X at top left)
now if i install the java runtime the normal way, it works, and i can see the applet in the web browser. this is using win xp pro sp2 rc2 and IE 6. and after the silent install if i reboot, still no difference.
any ideas?

Here are Sun's official switches, which by the way can be passed straight to the extracted MSI.
