I'm lost here

Made a nice CD for an unattended windows 2k SP4 install, complete with IE6SP1.

But when IEsetup is executed, it just ignores my OEaccess setting in my winnt.sif, and there's Outlook Express again :)

Is there any way to disable OE?

While I'm at it: We need IE6 Just for some XML editing program.
Is there a way to kill the Internet Connection wizard?
We have machines that won't ever connect to the internet anyway, as they're SCADA stations.

Thanks for your reply, but nlite states it does'nt support Win2k, so that does'nt seem an option.
And the problem isn't that Outlook installs form Setup of WIn2k, IEsetup installs it always.

Maybe there is a hack in program access and defaults (using SP4)?

sorry, your correct, it doesnt support 2k, but nuhi has said hes adding support for 2k as we speak, it will be in the next release (i think he said)
**so just keep watching out for it :)

i would just wait for nlite if i were u, cuz it does all the tampering for u
i wouldnt know what file u'd have 2 alter anyways in 2k, search registry tweaks section?

regards

I do't think it's a 2k problem anyway.

The problem is that IEsetup always does the same install when NT5 is detected, so I wonder if there's a solution for that problem.

I'll search for Program Access and Defaults and Registry in the mean while.

Create a custom IE6 install using the Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK)
In it, remove OE from the install. There is also a setting to remove the OE shortcuts during the install. And if I remeber correctly, there is a way to disable the Internet Connection Wizard in it too.
