Does that turn off burning abilities from built in XP burner? What does this do?

yes it turns off XP's built in burning service, which sux anyway, as the service can affect burning discs with most software, nero, roxio. fireburner etc... it just means less coasters for your table LOL

i didnt mean using the built in burner, but for a lot of people if they try burn discs with an installed burner it can conflict and give under runs etc, im a lucky one too.. but i still turned the service off -- just incase :)

When I turned IMAP burning off. After that everytime XP strats up, the window pops up and tell me that I've done some changes or something. But anyway tell me why to turn it off if I have NERO 5.5. I didn't have any problems with burning...

Thanks...

You can turn the service off (disable) if you want to, I guess. I prefer to have it set to manual. Alternatively, to disable the built-in Windows CD Recording feature:

Go to Control Panel- right click on the CD-RW drive choose -Properties-Click on the Recording Tab- Uncheck Enable CD Recording.

Any time you alter your start up program in msconfig after you reboot it will tell you that you have changed things...Duh of course you know this so you click ok...No biggy, What FthrJACK said is right.....It only turns off XP burning software.

:spaced :) :spaced

Well why would you want to uninstall Windows messanger, or remote assistance...You did, its just a preferance...Doesnt interfer with other burning software. Your choice.

Why care? Just use Nero burner 5.5. It's one of the few CD burners that works on XP. :spaced

Hi, Chris...
I also didn't like Nero before, until I couldn't use Easy CD creator 5.0 on WinXP, I mean in the beginning. And now I didn't even install Easy CD creator, because Nero is more comfortable and easier.
I like it, I think everyone have to try everything(almost), to know that there are better things.
May be you have better app then Nero I don't know.

Regards

In case you guys didn't know both Microsoft and Roxio came out with updates to fix the cd burning problems. I have Easy CD Creator 5.02 Platinum and it now works fine on XP. I like Roxio's software better and for those like me that dont like Nero there is a fix. If you need either Easy CD Creator 5.02 Platinum or the Upgrade PM me and i will give u a link to my FTP site.

Fireburner is by far the easiest burning software to use. Again I agree with dad (fthrjack):)
