hi, just tryed adding AVG free too my unattended setup,

i used the AVGadmin app too create a config file, some of the options were pro version only... here is the cfg file (which i kept in the AVG instal dir)

in my bat file i have

but it doesnt instal, nor even give an error message



any ideas?

I work for a small OEM, and we install AVG 6 FE on new machines as a basic AV for the customer. I, too, have been having issues with the preinstall. If anyone could assist in this, I would greatly appreciate it. Is it possible this method only works for the pro version, and not the free edition?

in the sticky topic at the top Strat has a AUTO IT script for AVG free, but the download link doesnt work
I pm'd him days ago... but he too falls into that ignorant category

you could also use InstallRite to get it working. In my opinion you should give it a try...

just save this VBScript as setup.vbs or whatever in the same folder where the setup.exe from AVG is
maybe u must change the product key in this script

then just execute this script
no idea if this works, try it
