g i wish so many ppl wouldn't post ALL of their tweaks,

there were so many duplicates in this list it took ages to compile them into mine :)

And please see the first post before you decide to post your tweaks here

Here's an orginal tweak for this list :rolleyes:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]
"MinWidth"="-285"

DL the attached .rar with no name (folder with no name). :D

(or you can make your own folder with no name by Making a new folder and hitting ALT-255)

so what to do is this;

copy the download/folder to any directory you want to test this in

I call mine "Taskbar Shortcuts"

make a folder called/labeled "0"

extract the rar/dump the no name folder into the "0"

you have just made your template.

Now copy that folder and call it "1"

copy/dump your quicklaunch shortcuts into the folder with no name that is in the folder called "1"

(after this you most likely wont want the quicklaunch no mo)

add the regkey or modify the value in the registry

(and if the value doesn't exist it's safe to make it or import it)

Right click your Taskbar and Add The new Toolbar you just made

Right click your Taskbar again and uncheck Quicklaunch

(And move the new toolbar on your taskbar to where your Quicklaunch was if necessary)

Note:

If you can't get the buttons small enough to NOT display the 1st letter of each program you have open, you can adjust this by

right clicking Desktop->Properties->Appearance->Active Tite Bar Size

Note2: Turn off "glomming" and/or right click taskbar->properties-> uncheck group similar programs (or whatever it is, i'm working under win2k right now)

(As far as i know this works on all Win OS's)

if i use any new MS keyboard, this tweak will work ...

but if use any other generic keyboard, it will not work :rolleyes:

however, if i turn this off, the problem will be reversed :)

i can't press F2 when using normal keyboard for renaming files ... after turned this off, i somehow figured that this tweak actually 'tweaked' the whole F-keys scan code ... which may explain why it 'turn on' universally regardless of keyboards ...

anybody encounter this problem?

I use this tweak to install a custom OEM help button on the start menus of my customers.

You can change the default command shell (cmd.exe) used for Safe Mode with Command Prompt to a command processor of your choice.

example:

I've only tested this with JPsoft's 4NT under WinXP Pro SP1. I imagine it would work for any command processor compatible with NTFS file systems.

I think you could use 4dos or the like if you are using FAT partitions but I'm not sure.

I spent about a week perfecting this and I thought that I should share this.

I have made a regtweaks/settings.inf.

Some of these have been taken from Gosh's install4.inf on his website. The main being the list view, [delete] and [unreg]

I'm trying to disable the "Offline Files and Folders" function. Any tip out there?

So many tweaks, found the Unattended XP site the other day and have been reading my eyes off since then! Great guide, great forums!

I haven't seen this fix in here but if your having problems accessing websites via URLS like http://username:password@site.com, it's due to an update added in February.

The fix for this is the following registry keys:
