hello,

is there any way to use customized icons with a cutomized cd?
i want to create my own install cd with other icons than the standard ones..

What do you mean with "i want to create my own install cd with other icons than the standard ones..". Are you talking about the icons for Windows? Filetypes? Programs? The cd's icon? Be a bit more specific and I might be able to help you..

i mean such icon sets for windows. like u can download them from

all the icons for windows, filetypes ...

I don't know about iconsets. Sorry. What I do know is that I don't like iconsets. To much memory. What I do like :) is diving into the Windows registry to find each and every key that can change an icon on your system :rolleyes:... So I did it myself with a collection of icons and *.reg's. Probably not what you'd want to try though...

But if you're interested, I'll look up some of those keys.

Can't help you with iconsets, because I just don't use them. Good luck in finding your solution!

iconsets are collections of icons. i only would like to know if and how i can replace the original icons. i want to make my on winxp install disc which contains those icons as standard. do you know that i mean?

I didn't mean I don't know what iconsets are, I said I don't use them.... Therefore I cannot help you with using them to apply to a new Windows install.

are the files with the icons u have 2 replace
