Hi,
I have a problem with my windows installation.
From the first restart after install on I
get after the bootlogo a black screen.

I can get over it with pressing "enter".

Has anybody a idea how i could solve that problem ?

I have a modified logonui but it's working and loading
after that black screen.

i had the same problem before i could not resolve it.

could be a bad driver?
could be a bad installation/currupt
could be your boot.ini is messed up
could be software not compatable

in SP2 i just found out u cant use /kernel= in boot.ini for somereason.. i get an error message "NTFS.sys is missing or currupt" removing that switch fixed my prob , maybe same for u?

I had some drivers includet but it also
didn't work without them.

A bad installation/currupt is also not possible because
I changed the whole things several times
and in the beginning it was working perfectly.

Incompatibel software could be, I have included
CustomizerXP, DuMeter, Kazaa, Office, Opera, Norton Corp 9,
2 Powertoytools, Winamp, WinRar, Zone Alarm
and Registry fixes.

But I have no clue how and why they should affect the windows boot.

But I had the problem with SP1 and SP2 so probably its not the AntiVir prog.

try running it without any parameters? or maybe something like a resonce file? search the forum for .msp

I have an old athlon 1,33
no 64bit support.

I have in the moment no running version,
but in about 2h I can post my latest boot.ini
it should be a normal one, I changed nothing.
