I had a user bring back a windows 95 laptop that she had put a boot password on. She doesn't remember the password and of course needs files off, so a reformat is out of the question for now. I seem to remember there being a way around this, but I can't remember the how. Any ideas? Thanks.

Open up the laptop and remove the battery on the motherboard... Leave it out for a few days and then put it back in... It will clear the CMOS... ;)

If you are refering to a power on password use GH's suggestion if you are referring to the windows logon password click CANCEL.
