i wanna change the text color in the WINNTBBU.DLL as says in this thread -

and the first step says :

and i don't have a hex editor (probaly cuz i dunno what it is :whistle:)

if som1 can tell what's Hex Editor, and give me link to some editor, i'll be glad :thumbup

With an Hex editor you can change an hexadecimal value in a binary file at a specific offset.

If it don't help you to understand download this hex editor and play with it.
Be carefull to not change values in files you don't know. This can make the file not working anymore.

i'v downloaded hhd hex editor to edit the winntbbu.dll and change the text color as written here - http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...WINNTBBU++Color my only problem is when i'm trying to edit the line
FF FF FF 00


i actually can't edit it.. i want to insert my own color instead of this one..

help plz..

usually you just place the cursor at where you want to start typing, and type away. Perhaps you need to get a new hex editor.

i already succeeded with the hhd hex editor thanks anyway :)
