Hi all

I have just visited MSFN's Web site and i saw these tools.

Windows XP SP2 Support Tools for Advanced Users

I wonder, what are these tools for?

And also do we have to update our WinXP SP2 Slipstreamed CD, i mean do we need to put Winows XP SP2 Support Tools for Advanced Users into our WinXP SP2 Slipstreamed CD?

no need our's wish our rule. If you want the tools to occupy some cd spce than it's okay. But tools have been improved there are some new ones added like Bitsadmin, product activation admin tools etc.

Well, the tools exist for your own use - you want to update your existing support tools on your WXP CD, you go ahead with it. But there's no need for putting that on the uA CD - no real purpose that has been mentioned here that requires the Support Tools.

Yes, that's where you'd put support.cab (replace previous version with this one). If you don't as yet see the .CAB (since it is an EXE), use winrar to extract.

There are 4 files that are in WindowsXP-KB838079-SupportTools-ENU.exe when i extract it.

These are the 4 files:

sup_pro
sup_srv
support
suptools

Should i replace only support.cab file or i should replace all 4 files?
