You sure this works?
I just tried it out on 1.0pr and i got the same error as i described earlier (-208 INVALID_ARGUMENT(S)) when it got to installing CuteMenus 0.4

I used the Auto switch in the config.ini instead of Silent.

jeez this is one of the longest installs i've seen.... for a simple browser install...

http://forums.mozill...ic.php?t=138033

ECHO Installing Mozilla Firefox
start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Mozilla\FireFox.msi /quiet
cls

...

only thing i need to figure out now is extensions (TAB X is a must for me :))

hmm Firefox, Extensions, themes, bookmarks, passwords, plug-in's and more all in this script.

For Extensions and themes only look 4+ posts up in this thread. :)

I don't know if anyone here can read German and/or translate it, if so read this, it appears to cover the previous versions of both Firefox and Thunderbird. If it's any help please share it in English....

sorry... when i posted that i was just testing the creation of other setup types... this method works for that though it is of limited use as the .xpi files in the installer use an install.js to install while the extention.xpi files use an install.rdf file that the installer doesn't understand (javascript vs xml) looks like the solution to installing extensions is...
start /wait [firefox installer].exe
path/to/firefox.exe -install-global-extension extention.xpi

maybe there is a way to make a meta extention xpi... will lookinto this further...

I thought that's what the timeline said... Or maybe it'll come out on my b'day tomorrow (now, THAT would be funny - and a nice gift).

Oh well. Perhaps I won't be waiting for the final then to try v1 then, I just don't have that patience. I guess I'll have to see if most plugins work with it now or else stick to v0.9.3 for longer :(

We had picked an ambitious target release date for Firefox 1.0 - 9/14 then 10/11 that proved un-attainable if we were going to achieve the quality our users demand. Hitting our new target date, 11/9 - our new and final release date, is still going to be a difficult task.

this is from the official roadmap of firefox so at least until 11/10 no (i want to update when the final version is released), but as you can read this date is moving again and again so i can't say anything at this moment.

@lilweirddude
It's not an AntiVirus problem

Make sure you have a file called WSHOM.OCX in SYSTEM32 folder (I think it's the file needed for this object)

Edit PREPARE.VBS with NOTEPAD and replace line 4 and 5 with

Set WSS = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Set FSO = WScript.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

I don't see why it don't work
