Which card?
Which driver?

There are four possibilities, if you right click my computer and select Hardware:
a) Soundcard has a question mark
b) Soundcard has no question mark, but doubleclicking on it it says device not working or something similar
c) Soundcard has a red cross
d) Sondcard is not shown

Remedies:
a) Remove card from hardware list, reboot, let plug 'n play re-detect it
b) Remove card from hardware list, reboot, let plug 'n play re-detect it
c) Enable it, if not working goto a) or B)
d) Switch off pc, physically remove card, place it in the slot, switch on pc, let plug 'n play detect it

If after doing the above still not works, probably it is an IRQ conflict, you will need to post your IRQ settings.
