Prevent Windows from checking Zone Information in files when user tries to open them in Windows Explorer

can ya use wild cards in reg values? if so, and since all the "malicious" file types are in this key, can we say:

"LowRiskFileTypes"=".*;"

don't know if the ";" needs to be there or not. i'm dumb.

I seriously doubt and even know in most cases wild cards as you mention don't work in REG. stick with what's posted ok, less trouble that way... :w00t:

Hey!

Wassup dudes!

New comer here.

I've been reading this thread, Tweaks #1 and all the other linked ones for the past 4 days and i've learned so much about inf files and reg hashes etc.

I can pretty much write them in my sleep now.

While preparing to finalize my unattended xp cd (AGAIN, version 3!) I had a moment of clarity.

I've been making so many darn .reg files why don't I automate atleast some of the creation process...

So i came up with this....

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

You can add this reg at any time during the setup process...

Also, I've attached an updated version of that tweak.

Its difference is it allows you to make Version 4 .reg hashes. (ex. Win9x)

I hope this one helps you guys out.

Do you mean to say that you want to have the french descriptions translated to english for you? (if so, get the tweaks attached to first post of this thread - that one is completely english)

Or do you need more description in french itself?

I don't understand what those registery for I have search those in tweak in english but I couldn't find it. Can you just explain kindly each of them if you don't mind.

Anyone know the lock the taskbar registry one. Not at home right now so cant install RegSnap. Might be blind but dont see in registry file.

I have 1 question about the registry tweak thing for unattended installation.

i have winxp pro and use a "group policy" in MMC to change windows XP setting. I don't know where these changes are in the registry file.

do you know.? if you know, please let me know so that i can save in a registry file. Apparently, i always re-do all the tweaking from this group policy if i re-install windows .

I don't want to do that again.
