First posting no response or mightbe wrong thread?
Or has any1 (nuhi perhaps?) an idea where to post this.

When using nLite 1.0b6 to integrate the following files:
- RVMUpdatePack1.3.1.cab
- RVMAddonsWMP10_1.0.cab
- RVMAddonsFull_1.0.cab
got problem on first logon, looks like Windows XP not running user
cmdlines.txt, useraccounts.cmd and autologon.reg
(those files already in C:\XPCD\$OEM$\ folder)

Looking into %windir%\profiles folder, seems that the %windir%\profiles\username folder not created as specified in useraccounts.cmd so that can not automatically logon, but still can logon manually by typing user name as an "administrator".

; useraccounts.cmd
net user "xxxxxx" 123 /add
net localgroup Administrators "xxxxxx" /add
net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited
REGEDIT /S autologon.reg
EXIT

; autologon.reg
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"DefaultUserName"="xxxxxx"
"DefaultPassword"="123"
"AutoAdminLogon"="1"

Last time using nLite 0.99.9 Beta with RVMUpdatePack 1.2 that problem not happened.

Pls help if there's any wrong steps done in using nLite:
- for removing Windows XP components
- or using tweak-setting
- or needs editing other file(s)?
to solve that.

Thx

If you change anything in the patch page, nLite will have to recompress some files and it will take quite a long time.

nLite is always long; it can't be faster. :hello:

intergrating sp2 and creating an iso file was no problem, but when i took components out, thats where it takes over 6 hours. is this deemed an accurate time frame?

depends on the speed of you cpu and what other tasks you are doing with your pc.. but 6 hours, **** thats patience! I don't think that sounds right.

Maybe your AV.

On a friend's computer on which PC-Cillin Antivirus is installed, I ran a scan on a single .mp3 file. It took at least 20 seconds to complete. Meanwhile, I couldn't do anything else.

Check for others background tasks.

I've got a couple of simple queries that although I think I might know the answer to, I cant be completely sure from reading everything. I basically just want to integrate a few windows critical updates and a few program add ons.

I have all the add ons in one seperate folder, and hotfixes in another seperate folder. Do I keep these seperate from the XP installation files folder, and NLite integrates them in? Or do I move one or both of these into the add ons folder, or elsewhere within the installation files folder? Not 100% and would just like a quick response to be reassured. Thanks.

you use the integrate hotfixes page to intergrate the hotfixes/add ons and nLite will move the needed files into the installation

Hey guys, thx for the guide, and excellent program. I had a few questions.

I did the unattended setup, with the default unattended option. (not completely unattended, but the hide or whatever)

I was told about this program to integrate the required nforce drivers to set up raid. Will this unatended setup stop me from doing this whatso ever? (I saw no options for a raid setup)

Also, I planned on partitioning my HD. Will the unatended setup stop me from doing this?

THX guys.

1. You can create a bootable "unattended install" XP CD with integrated nForce SataRaid or Pata(=IDE-)Raid drivers by using nLite, but you cannot create a Raid array by using a tool like nLite. Before you can install an OS onto a Raid array you have to create the array by activating Raid within BIOS and using a special NVIDIA Raid utility (F10 or similar).
2. It is no problem to create a new partition with an nLited CD during XP setup, even if you have chosen "fullunattended" install. Shortly after the beginning of the install you will be asked where you want to install XP or if you want to create a new partition.

I cannot get the Office 2003 to send/receive, I know it has something to do with the outlook express not being installed, Is there a workaround to just fix this, I cannot seem to find a way to install outlook express, I figured maybe throwing some .dll files somewhere would do the trick? I have wasted 5 hours so far trying to figure this out, seems hopeless. I tried installing a redistributable IE6 file but it won't let me.

I am having problems with getting new codecs to work, I got this error while playing an audio file that worked on my previous install of XP. I will post an error log of media player classic, see if you can figure this one out.
