MDac 2.8 Switches

6 posts in this topic

How can anyone help you by replying if you made this a poll-only topic?

*fixed it for you now

There's a new link to the winamp MSI in the winamp thread, by Alanoll now - winamp 5.05.

If you merged SP2 into XP, then you don't need to install MDAC 2.8 - its already there. But still, if you want to install MDAC, see this thread - MDAC silent. Not difficult, just a few minutes of searching! ;)

Why do you even need a poll?

SP2 is the easy way to go but the following should work. Note that you need to reboot after installing MDAC before you can install the patch.

mdac_typ.exe /q:a /c:"dasetup.exe /q /n"

Buffer Overrun in MDAC Function Could Allow Code Execution (832483): MS04-003

ENU_Q832483_MDAC_x86.EXE /C:"dahotfix.exe /q /n" /q:a
