omg... thank you microsoft for making lokalized version of xpsp2res.dll different...

thanks to layout.inf i learned that xpsp2res.dll isnt called xpsp2res on the german lokalized version of windows. on the CD the file is called sprt0407.dll

quote from layout.inf
sprt0407.dll = 100,,2981888,,,,,2,0,0,xpsp2res.dll,1,2

(on the CD = i386\sprt0407.dl_ , after install %windir%\system32\xpsp2res.dll)

i will now modify this file, and then test everything again in virtual machine.
if everything works i could then send u the files for "further testing" (if u want to ;)) and then u could host them for german ppl :)

i added you to my msn messenger buddy list. talk to you later there, or here in this topic ;)

ahm when in german the xpsp2res.dll called sprt0407.dll, then it dont will work on english unattended installations without edition layout.inf and rename the file, or? itīs only a question.

why would you want to "slipstream" the german files to an english windows CD ?

EDIT: im done, tested in VM (slipstreamed files and installed windows...) and working.

The shutdown box is part of msgina.dll. The "Shutdown", "Restart" and "Suspend" buttons are NOT icons. You can find them in BMP 20150.

Oh my god thank you very much!!!!

Suggestion:

Replace the bitmaps from explorer.exe (7010 and 7011). They are the logoff and shutdown images when used the classic start menu. The originals are 16 colors!

If you want the high color version of them just send me a pm.

Another thing ... why you don't compress the files using the high compression option:

makecab /D CompressionType=LZX file.xyz

also apply to all the files the "modifype.exe -c file.xyz" to recalculate the crc (this part i'm not sure if it is already done. if yes sorry)

I just had a strange error: The whole Start button just disappeared after applying Royale Theme. I know that the Text 'Start' was removed, but usually the green button itself is still there but now there's just nothing.
I need to press the windows key on my keyboard to open the start menu. Even after going back to Windows Classic Style the start button won't appear again. Using xpize 2.1 on winxp sp2

That's actually pretty cool.

If you figure that out.... let me know.
