in my case it's a problem to integrate hotfixes and the "xpized updated files".
combine both is not going to be easy but not because WFP. i would recommend to not disable wfp, the workaround can be the fix for sfcfiles.dll that can be found on this forum.

The only files in my pack QFECheck doesn't like are the hacked SFC_OS and UXTHEME.DLL files. Every other updated file is protected by WFP.
And I have yet to see a hacked sfcfiles.dll for SP2 which actually works correctly. Try this: with WFP enabled, integrate sfcfiles.dll into i386, install XP, then look in your dllcache directory. Even though WFP is enabled, it will be empty except for some CAT files. Not exactly intended behavior

XPized XP (SP2) with sfcfiles hack and WFP enabled
i really preffer it this way, i like to keep windows "thinking" it has everything under WFP and i can change my system files as long as they are not in use
this is not a problem of this pack, every shellpack will have the same problems (replacing the system files and so on) and for me it doesn't matter. for the moment i would use the temporaly solution by @keytotime keeping in mind the issue with WFP.

did extract the files for .dl_ .cp_ .ex_? If so then how did you replace them? Finally just reapply the uxtheme.dll that should fix the problem.
