I bought an OEM copy of XP pro when I built my computer, and have the nice sticker stuck on my case, but, I cheat and use the Corp edition to simplify life, too many reformats and hardware upgrades. I voted that I bought it, since I do have a valid license, but I am violating the EULA, and for that matter probably the law. But my copy shows up as gunuine on Microsoft's site when I ran their little tool.
