Need a silent install switch, or something to that nature for the new Google Desktop.

Thanks

Has anyone come up with this?

The /silent switch works, but Google loads IE at the end of the install to configure settings.

I did use taskkill and that works, but since then I've changed the process. I use the same procedure for Belarc Advisor...copy the install file to programfiles, and modify the shortcut to run the install file. Then run a .cmd file the first time it's executed to silently install the app, change the shortcut to actually start the app, then delete the install files.

It works seamlessly, the install runs quicly enough that the user does not know it's happening, and the issues of IE loading and the Google Desktop starting the indexing process do not interfere with the rest of the unattended install process.
