Windows Password Renew Tool 1.0-RC1

sala

Recommended Posts

This is a utility to:

(re)set the passwords of any user that has a valid local account,

create a new local user with administrator rights

and set administrator rights to existing user on your NT system.

You can use it outside of winpe, but then you can only add new users (RC1)

You can't perform any operation on a running os!!!

New in 1.0-RC2

* Localized windows groupnames are now fiexed. Adding new administartor user and turning existing user to administrator should work correctly when you are using non-english version of windows.

* Direct SAM hacking to NULL Administrator password (the same way that user RonCohn was pointing it out). I'm not sure but I think that, this is only working if you have same version of WinPE and Windows to reset. SO USE WITH CAUTION AND BACKUP YOUR SAM FILE BEFORE PROCEEDING!

New in 1.0-RC1

* CurrentSet fix (now it is more xp sp2 compatible!?)

* Added "Null" password support for Create new Administrator user
