Need Kaspersky Definitions Help Rate Topic: -----

any ideas on how to implement the definitions manually without having Internet access? All the files are in zips but am not sure where to extract them to.

They should go here:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\KAV Shared Files\Bases

but why not just use the web update....does it all for you...

i guess if you want to install it with more up-to-date defintions

Hi

If you use the 5.xx version the bases are here :

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal\5.0\Bases

thanks a lot, ill give it a whirl

@jroc: i don't want to use the web update because it will take a while to download, i prefer to keep a fairly up to date copy on my cd. then when the system is up and running, only a small amount need to be downloaded.
