How do i disable 'Highlight newly installed apps'? I've tried the reg code below but it doesn't appear to work?


[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"Start_NotifyNewApps"=dword:00000000

Try this...

;----- Disable higlighting of new applications in start menu
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"Start_NotifyNewApps"=dword:00000000
