Had a look for office 97 here, the only things I could find were Office 2003 or XP, no 97 -_-

Does anyone know how to perform an unattended installation with Office 97, where to put the destination-directory, what to install and maybe tell the setup to put the shortcuts in a directory "Office 97"?

Here is the site with switches for 97:

Nothing which could help me :/

1- Download & install Network Installation Wizard 2.1 (1.78 MB).
2- Execute switch /a on setup.exe (of Office) to create an Administrative Installation Point.
3- Run Network Installation Wizard to customize MS Office 97.

Let me know if it works.

Good luck.

All Office versions are known to work from CD. Just test it from har disk first to see if it's OK.
