Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 Wins Prestigious CNET Editors’ Choice Award
Consumer Product Recognized for Second Year in a Row for Delivering Outstanding Protection Against Viruses, Worms, Spam, Spyware, Phishing and Other Internet Malware
Cupertino, Calif. – November 1, 2004 – Trend Micro, Inc. (TSE: 4704, NASDAQ: TMIC), a leader in network antivirus and Internet content security software and services, has earned a CNET Editors’ Choice award for PC-cillin™ Internet Security 2005. The award for the 2005 version represents the second year in a row that PC-cillin has been named CNET Editors’ Choice. The coveted award recognizes outstanding computing and electronics products that CNET editors have determined represent the highest quality, design, and service to users, and its logo is a hallmark of good product design, performance, and quality.
CNET Editors’ Choice winners are recognized as top products in their respective technology categories, and contribute to the standard by which all future products are judged. A key selection requirement is the difference it makes in the lives of its users, whether through innovative features, exceptional value for the price, remarkable ease of use, or a demonstrable boost to users' productivity.
Trend Micro™ PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 antivirus solution now features additional privacy, reliability, and security functionality for PCs and home networks. Compared to last year’s version, capabilities like Wi-Fi intrusion detection, anti-phishing, spyware removal, and the ability to manage multiple PCs within the network make PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 an even more comprehensive security solution for home and small office/home office (SOHO) networks.
“Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 is the best Internet protection bundle currently on the market – period. It includes first-rate antivirus, firewall, antispam, and spyware-blocking tools, plus a host of extra security features – all for about $20 less than comparable products,” CNET editors wrote. “PC-cillin Internet Security 2005 is an excellent value and easily wins our CNET Editors' Choice.”
“We are honored by CNET’s Editors’ Choice because the award has become the hallmark of technology quality and innovation, and its logo is a symbol consumers know and trust,” said Steve Chang, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Trend Micro. “This is an exceptional achievement and we are proud that Trend Micro continues to be recognized for our dedication and commitment to producing the highest-quality computer security products as well as service to consumers -- we invite people battling Internet malware of all types to try PC-cillin.”

Anything has got to be better than NIS, but sometimes you wonder if there should be a 3rd poll option: "neither".

Haha! I know that NIS is very bulky. That's why I'm thinking to switch. I just need more opinion.
Can you suggest other good products? I forgot to add the "Other" and the "Neither" option on the poll.
