i haven't dled yet but i'm sure its pure asm lang...

edit:hmm dled it and read the readme, it says not assembly :) so i dunno he says something about not saving the steps?

edit: crap the game doesn't work on my machine :(

edit: okay I get it it requires pixel shader which I don't have on my graphics cards! (geforce 4 440 mx & go..)

the first demo can be viewed with all hardware type, i remember seeing it with a voodoo2 card and that's amazing :o

the game probably is optimized for new hardware but anyway i've spent watching/playing a 90kb file 20min and that's unbelievable! :thumbup

Nice old game...

It's so small because they pack a lot of info into the calls they make to DirectX and the other various video/audio/cpu subsystems... all textures/ai/level setups/etc are created with super small equations at start up. :w00t::thumbup

Awesome game

Yep, I've seen other similar demos of about that size too. The textures and other data is all generated in memory at startup (hence the delay to start). Don't we wish some companies like M$ took example and not overbloat everything so ridiculously? ...

(btw, why would you post this in "media center" instead of "Gamer's Hangout"?)
