I've been using ad-aware for a long time and notice that the vast majority of the problems seem to be tracking cookies. I've discovered that most of these cookies can be blocked from ever getting on your computer if you are using IE. Do this:
1. Open Tools.
2. Choose 'Internet Options' from the dropdown menu.
3. Select the 'Privacy' tab.
4. Click on the 'Advanced' button.
5. Click on the box beside 'Override automatic cookie handling.'
6. Under 'Third-party Cookies' click the circle beside 'Block.'
7. Click 'Okay.'
8. Click 'Okay' again.

Most of the adware companies are third parties, like 'doubleclick.' Doing the above will prevent them from ever getting onto your computer.

Wonder if that would be how you can stop the sigs here in the forums from displaying your IP? Or would that be something else?

na, those are done with PHP.. the server sees the last connection IP and displays it in text ontop of the signature.
