General Commentary:

1) even old video cards are well supported (1Mo and 2Mo!)
2) ATi, nVidia and Intel are giving constant results (except i810)
3) You can always build a default.ezb safe menu in case your regular menu won't load

It is now up to you to decide which resolution and color depth you will use!

I knew you would answer something like that... don't be close minded :P

EDIT: in the end will be able to get a better knowledge and draw a line where we can expect our Multi-Boot CD to work almost for sure

I like the idea...

You have not posted your results of testing with VMware. So I tested with VMware 4.5, and everything works perfect. Absolutely no problems. I'll test later with integrated GeForce MX440, and post results.

I tested this (1.6) in a GeForce MX440 machine, and all seems fine. Except...
I was not able to tell the difference between 16-bit color and 24-bit color - to my eyes it both looked like the same thing. All the other modes, I could clearly identify the number of color boxes (like, 16, 256, etc.).

Actually, EasyBoot is converting 24Bits images to 16Bits so there is no "true" 24Bits mode. I suppose this could come later..
I wanted to see if there was a difference between a "pure" 16Bits (done with ACDsee) and a 24Bits converted automatically by EasyBoot to 16Bits... and actually there is! Because you can notice the difference in the text when using 640x480 mode.

Thanks for the result! BTW it is an integrated GeForce MX440 right? If so on wich chipset?

Yep. On an nForce2 (with integrated graphics) based MoBo. And made by MSI.
