what application is used to combine a download that gives me files of the type .R00 .R01 .R02 ... .R20
I think these are pieces of a RAR file that must be put back together - but cannot figure out how to do it. Any help?

all u need is the all the r00XXX and the final rar file which is rar

that is it.

so what do you do? Open the rar file and it will pull in the r00xx files? not sure what command to use here....

just download winrar

here are the steps

download all the archived rar files xxx.001 so on and so forth
u must hv at least one xxx.rar file

double click and it will open the compilation.
tell it to extract to a location.

that is it.

that is a lot of post 698 and u still dont know how to use winrar?

Never had occasion to download split rar files before now. I actually looked in the winrar help files - and nothing about combining split files was to be found. Thanks for the step by step.

also there are some files with only filename.001 filename.002 etc
they won't be associated with winrar
so u'll have to open up winrar and find filename.001 file and open it and press extract..
if they're in filename.rar, filename.r01, filename.r02 format just right click on .rar and extract...
