jimet Posted December 10, 2004 Share Posted December 10, 2004 I have a workable unattended CD created and wanted to find out if it's possible to copy the CD to a USB drive and make it install from there. Most of the new PC's I'll be setting up for my company can boot to a removable device, but I haven't tried this yet. Has anyone tried this??? Jim E. The only issue would be getting the bootsector onto the flash drive - typically we use Nero or Roxio to write the boot loader to the CD but these won't write to flash drives. You might want to Google a program called "Raw Write" or "RawWrite". This allows you write boot information to floppies and other removable media.
