I am thinking about getting XBL, however I have a dilemma.

I have a wired Linksys BEFSR41 that is connected to my pc in my bedroom and my Xbox is in the family room.

What are some ways that I can proceed to get online with my Xbox?

I really DO NOT want to be running a long ethernet cable from the family room to my bedroom so therefore I need some suggestions on a solution.

Please keep in mind I also use VoIP service so if recommending a Wireless Router inform me whether the router offers bandwidth control.

They make wireless adapters. If you have another computer with wireless, and an ethernet port, a crossover and bridge through the computer should work. Lastly, a long a** wire.

I've used the crossover and bridge, which I think worked fine. I have a friend who does the same, but his lags constantly, and had problems getting updates. As of now, I moved my modem, and router next to my xbox, and use a short cord.
