im going to start a "Customizing winrar" thread to see what cool enhancements ppl have made via res hacking winrar..

i will start off with a screenshot of 1 of my dialogs



Also, if any1 has any nice icons they want to contibute or want to offer to make some i wouldnt mind lol pm me or post here if u do
maybe if xpero sees this he'll contribute too

lol i wanted to see something like this on the forum, here i go...

foood icons (winrar gui patch) over winrar 3.41 (spanish translated).
you can see in the screeny the difference between my created rar-sfx and the default one.

how i did it? i've manually reshacked the program and i've changed default size of foood's interface from 48x48 to 48x32 to mantain winrar original apparence.

i'm sure @xpero will see this tomorrow

edit nvm, i thought the orange bar @ the bottom was a progress bar

but how did u change the icon size?

i've updated my winrar to 3.42 version

i would upload the file to ezshare but i doubt some1 is interested in the spanish version.

if you want to change the main window is as simple as edit the bmps extracted with a resource hacker program. if you want to change icons for filetypes just edit the icons with reshacker. this is on winrar.exe

you can optionally edit uninstall.exe and rarext.dll, the first to change uninstall apparence and icon and the second to edit the winrar explorer cascade menu images.

finally if you are a little picky you can change the icon on created rar-sfx by reshacking .SFX archives.

but... i need icons. I tried using the ones i hv from iconfactory but they came out all funky.

just resize them Paint .Net 2.0 is what i use as a replacement for MSpaint, it does all that & more + its free
