2) Got a suggestion for the stand X site http://www.bintow.com/SAA/. To put icons beside softwares to inform about the following:
a- freeware/shareware
b- pure/unpure standalone (unpure meaning program coming with an install but once installed are standalone.)
c- editor choice award.
I could contribute to class them, And I understand that publishing website take time
so I will be patient.
3) I am so enthusiast that I have a secret plan to get more standalone appz if you guys follow me.

I think albator is a lot more enthusiast than i am and maybe has more time to work on the stand alone app site.
I have been planing to eventualy sort the site into catagories and improve the layout like below, one app per line in a table;
App name - Pure/Unpure - Description - Screenshot - Download - Homepage
adding a feedback page or in time a forum. All this and a few other things will happen eventualy but, if someone has the time and enthusiasm to continue with this site now, i would be happy to hand over development, and help out when i can, i will always be on the lookout for a good free standy.
I think stand x has the potential to be a great site, it just needs a little time and effort, i am willing to keep it alive and work on it when i can but if someone has more time, patience, will and skills i`m not goin to stand in your way and would be more than happy to hand it over.

3DTop is a study into the usefulness of a three dimensional GUI
(Graphics User Interface). For too long have we denied ourselves the
freedom that is only offered by 3D games. A 2D Desktop is all well and
good for simple procedures, but after a while it can make you feel
cramped and limited by what you can do. As technology advances, so too
should the basics of our software, after all, everyone who uses a
Windows OS, or even a GUI within Unix depends on their desktop for the
vast majority of functions they will ever use.

AppManager
This program can handle all your visible and invisible applications
running on your computer! It can also be used to trace Trojans/Patches
in your memory, because it shows all programs and services, even though
they were meant to be invisible. You can choose a service and decide
wether it should appear as an invisible service or a visible, it is also
possible to close/terminate processes that are not available in the
CTRL+ALT+DEL menu! In fact this program acts much like the taskmanager
for Windows NT, just better! But that's not all, The second part of the
program is used to get completely control of the programs that starts up
together with windows. It includes fast access to all the
startuplocations in your registrydatabase, and if you regret that you
removed a program from the startuplist a backupsystem makes it possible
to recover it again, unless you have emptied the backuplist. This
startupmanager does not include the programs running from your startup
directory in the start menu, because you should have easy enough access
to those, instead we have concentrated to make all the hidden
programs/services just as easy to edit/remove as it is in the start
menu.

created by Microsoft Internet Explorer into an HTML file. Each
"Favorite"
that you create with Internet Explorer is a small file which contains
the URL or address of the web page. If you have a lot of old
"Favorites"
they can take up a lot of space on your hard drive. On a 1.2 Gbyte hard
drive each Internet Shortcut file takes the minimum cluster space, or 32
Kbytes! If you have 100 of these files, you have 3.2 Mbytes wasted.
This program will make an HTML file which contains links to all your

line, user functions and variables, integer factoring and operation with
fractions.

functions defined in the expression calculator are accessible to the RPN
calculator through the "udata" and "ufunc" keys.

the fact that the application can start automatically with windows,
makes it ideal to use it in a server machine to backup important files.
Features

Code2HTML
This program creates web pages from C++ and Perl source programs.
I wrote this program because I teach classes in both C++ and Perl and I
use the web for posting class notes. Unfortunately, the < and > signs
used in most computer programs (especially C++!) mean something entirely
different in HTML. Special markup codes are needed. This program takes
care of that.

College Alarm Clock
So like I wrote this program because I was tired of oversleeping past
Quizzes and Labs and being late for class/work becuase of my dumb-a**
alarm clock.
It is my hope that this program will drastically raise the United States
of America's Grade Point Average, and make our country more productive
than its ever been.
It doesn't stop there, this program also will single-handedly end war
and famine in our world.

best.
3. Move the cursor to the chosen color and click on it.
4. Look at the remaining colors; choose the one which you now like best
out of those that are visible and click on it.
5. Continue the process with the remaining colors until all eight are
gone.

This program will open or close the CD-ROM drive then launch a specified
program. For example, you can setup this program so that every time you
launch Notepad.exe your CD-ROM drive would open as well. For a better
example, just think of a program you use all of the time that requires a
CD. Now think how convienent it would be if when you launched that
program, it opened your CD-ROM for you? That is what Open/Close CD was
created for, a perfect utility.Open/Close CD supports multiple CD drive
letters via the command line. Just add the drive letter (ex. d) on the

Enabler
I wrote this program because I was curious about manipulating object
properties in running applications. Well that's what the program does.
You are given a list of all top level windows, you can open the windows
and browse the child controls and change their state. I have found many
applications have hidden controls. You can save the changes you have
made, monitor for the app and have Enabler load the settings
automatically or even create an icon to load the manipulated app and
adjust the settings. Also, the program allows you to see text obscured
by ***** in some password fields. This option may grow into a full blown
object editor if time and interest warrants.

can be used to keep up-to-date safety copies of files on floppy disks,
or to allow program development on two different computers - perhaps one
at work and one at home.

Empty Recycle Bin
A small utility that can empty the recycle bin and the clipboard. When
emptying the recycle bin it calls Shell32.dll and this dll does the
rest. So things happen through Windows itself. The registry isn't
touched. A local ini-file is generated in the erb folder.

F2 Batch File Renamer
F2 is a Windows program that provides an automated way of renaming
batches of files. I wrote it after needing something to rename thousands
of mp3 files - I tried about 5 or 6 different renaming programs, but
they all seemed to be designed to do a different task than the one I
wanted to do.

e-Mirror Tool
The File-Mirror Tool is a small and useful tool which "mirrors" the
content of specified directories to other ones.
This can be very useful if you have two harddrives and want to back up
your data regularly. Neither you need an expencive RAID-Controller which
mirrors the whole harddisk (and also all directories, you can't specify
it) nor you need to copy the directories by hand (and maybe forget it).
With the File-Mirror Tool you can keep your data backed up and safe.

Filenote
This program is just a simple text editor that lets you quickly add the
exact names of all files from a directory into your text document.
At one time I found myself documenting lists of files... either to
explain each of the distribution files for several programs inside
"readme.txt" type file, or for some other silly reason. I got tired of
typing all the names, so I adapted this little text editor. I still go
back to it whenever I have to make or keep lists of files.

Find Duplicates was written to allow you to control your disk space
usage by discovering files that are duplicated and, should you so wish,
deleting one or more of these duplicates. There are many ways in which
duplicate files can be deposited on your hard disk, for example programs
which don't check to see if you have a particular DLL installed and
install their own private copy in any case, or other programs that
install a DLL in your \Windows directory when it is already in \Windows

Time Calculator
The original idea of this program came from the program Millennium by
Tien-Hao's Freeware. Then it was first designed to count down the year
2000 AP Physics C exam. This version of Time Calculator is enabled to
display accurate and exact differences between two times. It can count
down for your favorite TV show, an important exam, or the next
Millennium; it can keep track of how long you have lived in the world,
or how much time you have spent in office. Be as exact about time as you
wish! It does every calculation up to seconds!

Time Worked Calculator
This program is primarily for those who want an easy way to calculate

individually for each day), displayed plainly in one of two formats you
choose.

Cleaner
This is for those of you who distribute a lot of jokes. I got tired of
cleaning up all of the Unix reply marks ('>') and the lines that got
chopped up by multiple word-wrapping. So, I decided to write up a really
quick application that does all of this for you.

This program is primarily for those who want an easy way to calculate
and verify how many hours they have worked on the job. The idea to make
it actually came to mind when I realized that I could use such a
program. It allows you to easily enter in all your shift times,
including any time off for lunch breaks. You then need only to click a
button to see your total hours worked (both the total for the week, and
individually for each day), displayed plainly in one of two formats you
choose.

minutes. With Time Calculator, you just enter your hours and minutes and the rest
is done for you.

Top is an application intended to keep non-active windows visible all
the time. If you run several applications at the same time, you may find
it difficult to arrange all the windows, especially to keep non-active
windows visible. Windows accessory clock program provides a useful
feature: "Always On Top". Several other applications, such as Icon Hear
It, DashBoard, WinZip, OnTop, Statline, SmartDrive Monitor, and so on,
can keep themselves always on top by the same means. But some useful
programs don't support this feature. So I wrote "Top" by which you can
keep most windows always on top.

Tracer addresses the problem of extracting plotted data stored in
graphics(bitmap) files. This requirement arises in two typical situations:
first, when you want to plot your own data alongside data plotted in somebody

simply puts icons of user specified shortcuts into the taskbar tray and
lets the user launch those shortcuts or open their context menus. As the
name implies, menus play a quite major role in TrayMenu. Basically, the
real function that TrayMenu performs is to expand folder shortcuts,
either file system folders or virtual shell folders, into cascaded
menus. Here are some of the features of TrayMenu,

Scanning is done in a thread, so you can already see results while
TreeSize is working. The space, which is wasted by the file system can
be displayed and the results can be printed in a report.

Quiz Writer
It allows a user to create the HTML page for a quiz, the answers to be
emailed to a central site for grading. The person running the Quiz
Writer program can set the number of questions, the recipient email
address, the quiz number, the number of points, and a header and trailer
region for text. Once the number of questions has been established, the
equivalent number of editing pages are provided, wherein the text of the
questions are composed. The equivalent HTML code may be viewed or saved
at any time through the menu.
Since I wrote this program I have gone on to working with HTML forms and
CGI scripts for automating the process of a student answering a quiz.
This program DOES NOT DO THAT. It is a simple tool for creating HTML web
page quizzes. The students must then manually compose and email their
replies to the central site.

HideWindow does just what its name implies, it hides windows. It uses a
couple of different API tricks to try to fool a window that it's hiding

either gives the window a new parent, one that's hidden, or it sets a
region to the window outside its displayable area. The whole point of

twists added such as HTML "pure" colour locking, nearest colour
matching, four different ways to select colours, and a special HTML
Colour Dialog box (hhHTMLColorDialog). Select the exact colours you want

HTML Scan reads in any HTML or ASP file and scans it for many different
types of syntax errors. Very handy for Web developers!
Most Web browsers will ignore syntax errors and unrecognized tags rather
than giving you an error message. This means that you might not realize
there is a problem in your HTML code unless you bring it up in your
browser and thoroughly check out the results after each change that you
make.

XPdite
A Critical Security Vulnerability Exists in Windows XP. (Surprise)
Actually, as we know, there are many, but we'll handle them one at a
time. This particular vulnerability allows the files contained in any
specified directory on your system to be deleted if you click on a
specially formed URL. This URL could appear anywhere: sent in malicious
eMail, in a chat room, in a newsgroup posting, on a malicious web page,
or even executed when your computer merely visits a malicious web page.
It is already being exploited on the Internet.
