im trying to strip some tunes of some music vids i have accumilated over the years i am wanting to play them in a norm car stereo, are there any cheap and easy to use converters about.

Taking the audio from a video? One of the easiest things to do with a PC and the right programs. Use VirtualDub (File > Extract WAV) if its an AVI, and TMPGEnc (File > Export > WAV) if its an MPEG.
