sims 2 installation problem Rate Topic: -----

I just posted this in another forum, but I think this is the right one.
I have attempted many times to install sims 2. I keep getting a message saying
"a problem occured when transferring ts/data/res/sims3d/sims08package from media"
Can anyone help!

yes i have a possible solution allthough it sucks! copy the cd to ur hard drive, install from the HD, make sure the dvd is in the cd drive, it will take a long time to copy to the HD but its worth a try

that is not going to work. bec. the cd is damaged.

ive had problems like this where it couldnt find a fie for warcraft III: the frozen throne and starcraft:brood war

in both cases i just copied the cd to the HD and installed from there

Thats exactly the problem. Just a tiny scratch on that file.

how do u know its scratched? also, maria, is the disc new or have u had it a while?
