Best uses for xplode?

What is xplode better at doing? All the information about it seems a little hazy and sparced. I'm just curious what situation is xplode better for compared to say WPI or the like? (besides the pretty gui of course
)

If you know javascripts, this is better, if you don't know java, you better use WPI

i think you got that backwards...
and XML is no where near Java.
XPlode can be used in place of WPI. However, I don't think there is a countdown yet on the selection.

i havnt seen a screen of an app selection page. Can you select the items to run with xplode as well?

I thought this screen was something to make the actuall installer. Is it customizable because i like WPI's UI for program selection a lot more

You really should read the documentation 
All that is, is an HTML doc as a template and colors and whatnot, then XPlode writes in the apps from the XML.

Rather, the HTML retrieves the data from the XML and renders it itself.
