how old are you?

i suggest that u create a spread sheet using Excel

one colume is your buget, another is your target, another is dell

list the prices and compare

if your on a budget dell makes a better choice.

if you hv unlimited funds that is a different story.

Attached File(s)

I attached a simple shread sheet

to my last post.

u dont need any brains to use it :P

fill in the blanks make sure u compare apples to apples, oranges to oranges

your price for that case of your was 800 dollars

the price of the dell is 1203 w/ monitor with video, with hard drives, with dvd burner. doesn't take a genius to figure out that the 800 dollar
deal is not really a deal but a rip off.

dude u really have to know what you are buying.

which P5GD2 are u getting their are 3 models

ordinary, deluxe and premium?

did u even bother to check the specs of your Asus motherboard?

all 3 models come with gigabit LAN and built in Sound.

High Definition Audio
Enjoy high-end sound system on your PC! The onboard 8-channel HD audio (High Definition Audio, previously codenamed Azalia) CODEC enables high-quality 192KHz/24-bit audio output, jack-sensing feature, retasking functions and multi-streaming technology that simultaneously sends different audio streams to different destinations. You can now talk to your partners on the headphone while playing a multi-channel network games. All of these are done on one computer. The Dolby Digital Live technology from Dolby Lab encodes the multi-channel audio source into AC-3 bit-stream and outputs it to S/PDIF port in real time.

Dual Gigabit LAN
The integrated dual Gigabit LAN design allows a PC to serve as a network gateway for managing traffic between two separate networks. This capability ensures rapid transfer of data from WAN to LAN without any added arbitration or latency. No more bottleneck to handle large amounts of data such as video, audio, and voice.

Number 1 Rule know what you are buying.

Let me tell you now I know for a fact that your price will be more than that
of dell. No matter what you do it will be more expensive.

bec. u are getting a budget PC. and Dell has the buying power to buy hardware at a massive discount.

When u add up all your shipping and taxes you'll see.

I live in the philippines so i can get stuff cheap. Bec. people import directly
from China or Taiwan here. At times i get stuff like my 19' LCD from
the States but for memory i get them here.

Lets compare your specs to mine shall we

Dimension 8400 Desktop P4 540 3.2Ghz 1GB DDR2/533 Memory/250GB Serial ATA HD, 16x DVD-ROM, 16x Dual Layer DVD Writer, 2001FP 20in Dell Digital LCD, 256MB PCI Express x800 XT Video card, Audigy 2 ZS Sound card, $1510.80 shipped free.

If u remove the LCD it is less than 1000.00 :P

u need to learn to compare. i made the spread sheet to help u but u didn't even
download it. funny.

your just going to waste your money and time.
