MS has a utility called TAP.EXE that reports of hardware installed on your machine. Anyone know where to get a copy of it? Google's not that helpful...

You can download the trial of XPe and get it, the only version I was able to find was the DOS vrsion, no pretty GUI.

There's no pretty GUI version - that's what TAP does. But given the ability to use WMI in WinPE now, TAP is redundant - especially if you did want to build a fancy GUI.
