My friend bought a computer from someone with the intention of her kids using it for homework. The computer was rammed full of dialers, porn pop-ups, spyware and all kinds of nasty things. I did the only thing I could think of to help....I formatted the hard drive.
When I tried to reinstall Windows XP it gives me the error message
File\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. Error code 4096
Can anybody please tell me why this is happening, and how can I install XP?
Many thanks
